Professor Adam Myjak
Studio of Sculpture Years 2–5
Bartosz Sandecki’s project is one of the most interesting degree pieces prepared
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in recent years. It is a kind of settlement with
his childhood and early youth spent in Dąbrowa Górnicza, determined by
a depressing landscape filled with grey light, black soot, smoking chimneys
of factories and mines.
This piece does not require a commentary. Words are helpless here, this sculpture
simply has to be seen. I am convinced that everyone will be moved by the power
of the medium and artistic expression posed by Bartosz Sandecki’s project.
